ADK Holdings Limited
Established in 1976 with its inaugural Indigenous‑owned enterprise, Beaver Enterprises Limited Partnership, the Acho Dene Koe Group of Companies has grown into a progressive, diversified organization requiring a highly structured relationship between the economic development corporation and the Acho Dene Koe First Nation.
ADK Holdings Ltd. serves as the parent holding company for nine businesses, either wholly owned by the Acho Dene Koe First Nation or operated through joint ventures and minority equity investments. As the central administrative and executive hub, ADK Holdings Ltd. is governed by corporate bylaws and a shareholders’ agreement that define the responsibilities of its Board of Directors to the Shareholder (Chief and Council), and the relationships between executive management—including the President & Chief Executive Officer and Finance Officer—and the Board.
Operating within the traditional territory of the Acho Dene Koe First Nation in the Northwest Territories, and extending into Yukon and British Columbia, the Group maintains a diverse portfolio with business registries across multiple sectors in each political jurisdiction. These include:
