In 1976, the Acho Dene Group of Companies was established with the creation of its first Indigenous‑owned enterprise, Beaver Enterprises Limited Partnership, since that time, our Group of Companies have evolved into a progressive and diversified organization. This growth has required a highly structured and accountable relationship between the businesses and its majority shareholder and general partner – Acho Dene Koe First Nation, ensuring that business success is aligned with community priorities and long‑term Nation‑building.

As oil and gas activity has declined in our Traditional Territory, we made a strategic decision to diversify its economic base. Since then, we have built a broad portfolio of wholly owned businesses, joint ventures, and minority equity investments.
