The Acho Dene Koe Group of Companies has joined with Resolve Energy Solutions to form Acho Resolve Joint Venture.

Formed in September 2023, the partnership brings together four existing companies under Resolve Energy Solutions to support asset retirement services in British Columbia and Northwest Territories.

Acho Resolve is a First Nation–owned company delivering safe, efficient, and fully integrated decommissioning and asset retirement services across Northeast BC and Northwest Alberta. Since 2014, we’ve supported industry partners with a simple belief: the right team makes all the difference.

Our experienced personnel, specialized equipment, and deep regulatory knowledge allow us to manage projects of any size — from single-site demolitions to complex, multi‑asset decommissioning programs.

Wellsite & Facility Decommissioning

We provide complete end‑to‑end decommissioning solutions designed to reduce risk, minimize ground disturbance, and keep projects on schedule and on budget. Our teams include certified hazardous materials specialists, heavy equipment operators, and licensed drivers trained to work safely in industrial environments.

  • With 300‑series excavators equipped with shears and power‑head attachments, internal pipeline cutting tools, and specialized hauling equipment, Resolve delivers tailored solutions for every site.

Pipeline Deactivation & Abandonment

  • Our personnel have completed more than 1,000 pipeline deactivations and abandonments without incident since 2008. All work is performed in accordance with Chapter 11 of the Oil and Gas Activities Act and CSA Z662.

  • A fast, low‑disturbance method ideal for most surface pipeline removals:
  • Internal cutting tools for 2–8 inch pipelines
  • Mechanical plug engraved with license, locations, permit holder, and abandonment date
  • Plug anchored above the elbow where the line transitions to lateral
  • Cutting completed in minutes
  • Surface piping removed with minimal ground disturbance
  • Optional Omni Marker Balls installed for long‑term electronic locating

Excavation Method

  • Where remediation requires excavation to lease edge, we complete the same mechanical plugging and cut/cap procedure using our excavator fleet.

Reporting & Project Management

  • Effective project management and regulatory compliance are central to our service model. Resolve’s project managers work closely with clients and stakeholders to coordinate resources, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and in full compliance with BCER and AER requirements.
