Overview
Acho Real Estate Limited Partnership (ARELP) is the housing business of the General Partner and Acho Dene Koe First Nation. Guided by the Chief and Council, ARELP supports the Nation’s commitment to ensuring that safe, healthy, and affordable housing is available to band members and community residents. Housing is recognized as foundational to individual, family, and community well‑being, and ARELP plays a central role in delivering that vision.
ARELP provides both long‑term rental housing and short‑term accommodations, subject to the availability of units and funding. All rental homes are maintained to meet health, safety, and minimum property standards, ensuring safe and reliable housing for residents.
Mandate & Purpose
- Provide fair, equitable, and transparent access to rental housing for band members and community residents.
- Maintain a diverse inventory of housing units that meet community needs.
- Ensure all units comply with health, safety, and property standards.
- Support community well‑being through stable, well‑managed housing operations.
- Implement and uphold the 2026 Housing Policy, ensuring consistent and equitable administration of rental housing assistance.
Housing Inventory
- ARELP manages a range of rental accommodations, including:
- Single‑detached homes
- Duplexes
- Modular units
- Multi‑residence complexes
Units have been constructed using:
- Band capital funds
- Government of Canada housing grants
- Bank financing
- Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) programs
Tenants pay rent in accordance with current Nation housing policies.
Long Term Rental Housing
- Available to band members and community residents based on eligibility and policy criteria.
- Units are maintained to meet health and safety standards.

ARELP designates specific units for short‑term stays ranging from 1 to 29 days, without requiring a long‑term rental agreement.
