our joint ventures & partnerships

In the two years have seen significant developments in joint ventures and partnerships development. The net result is the creation of new businesses participating partnerships with industry to help position Acho Dene’s Group of Companies to service new opportunities in all areas of our traditional territory – Northwest Territories, British Columbia, and Yukon.
The new partnerships primarily are intended to focus on servicing prospects that may arise from the Prairie Creek Mine. It should be noted that for the most part we are waiting on announcements from the Canadian Zinc Corporation (“Nor Zinc”) concerning these opportunities. In addition, internally we are looking at the entire operations of the mine and what potentially could forward in the future for business development (as an example maintenance, security, and emergency services).
Each of these could potentially provide chances for employment for Acho Dene members.

The opportunities created and signed with new agreements are in the industry areas of transportation and logistics, oil and gas remediation, large infrastructure engineering and project management opportunities, forestry opportunities, residential and commercial construction opportunities, heavy oil and gas and major road construction projects. Areas under development for prospects for the future include geothermal, remote bridge construction and installation, food production and security, and liquid natural gas opportunities.
